Do not eat or play with uncooked flour, dough, or batter.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"card-header h4 bg-gray-l2\">What You Should Do<\/div>\n<div class=\"card-body \">\n<ul class=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Do not eat raw dough or batter \u2013 even a small amount can make you or your child sick<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"false\">\n<li>Bake or cook food made with raw flour, like cookie dough or cake batter, before eating it.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the recipe or package instructions for cooking or baking. Use the temperature and cooking time given in the recipe or instructions.<\/li>\n<li>Buy\u00a0<a class=\"tp-link-policy\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/food\/buy-store-serve-safe-food\/handling-flour-safely-what-you-need-know\" data-domain-ext=\"gov\">heat-treated flour<\/a>\u00a0to use in recipes for homemade playdough.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clean<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"false\">\n<li>Wash any bowls, utensils, and surfaces that touched raw flour with warm water and soap.<\/li>\n<li>Wash your hands with warm water and soap before and after using raw flour.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Separate<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"false\">\n<li>Keep raw flour, dough, and batter separate from foods that won\u2019t be cooked.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Call a healthcare provider\u00a0<\/strong>right away if you or your child have:\n<ul class=\"false\">\n<li>Diarrhea and a fever higher than 102\u00b0F<\/li>\n<li>Diarrhea for more than 3 days that is not improving<\/li>\n<li>Bloody diarrhea<\/li>\n<li>So much vomiting that you cannot keep liquids down<\/li>\n<li>Signs of dehydration, such as:\n<ul class=\"false\">\n<li>Not peeing much<\/li>\n<li>Dry mouth and throat<\/li>\n<li>Feeling dizzy when standing up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Investigators are working to identify a specific brand of flour linked to this outbreak.
